The Company:
A Global Travel organisation head quartered in the US with over 10,000 employees World Wide are looking to hire an experienced specialist in VAT. The Company operate in 60 Countries around the World and generate revenues in excess of $4 billion. They are an instantly recognisable global brand with their UK Head office based in West London.
The Team:
You will work in a small team of tax professionals, reporting into the Head of Tax, working closely with finance and other key business units to provide support across all aspects of Indirect tax. You will take responsibility for a portfolio of group companies where you will be reviewing the work of the VAT Accountants as well as looking to identify tax saving opportunities across these business areas.
The Role:
-Providing Indirect tax advice to the Group and its companies.
-Taking a lead role in developing relationships and influencing senior stakeholders.
-Reviewing the VAT returns completed by members of the team providing value adding, commercially sound recommendations to the business.
-Maintaining and developing strong Revenue and other regulatory relationships.
The Person:
As an experienced VAT specialist, ideally you will have both UK and cross-border exposure to indirect tax issues. This would be an excellent first move into commerce if you are looking to make the move from one of the Top Ten Accounting Firms. This role will be a genuine mix of compliance and advisory work that requires a proactive individual who is going to be able to identify opportunities. Alternatively, you could already be in industry and looking for that next step up or to join an expanding Global business. You will ideally be a qualified accountant or tax professional and have a commercial approach to the way you work.
