This role focuses on assisting the senior management team to develop and deliver technical solutions to clients and control a portfolio of projects. This will involve building good relationships with clients, providing general support in the provision of VAT advice, assisting with the planning and performance of VAT consultancy assignments and drafting correspondence to clients and HMRC. The successful candidate is likely to be ATT / CTA qualified with up to date VAT knowledge and will be comfortable dealing directly with clients. The role offers the opportunity for someone who performs well in this role to progress to manager within this friendly team within one of the most highly regarded, award winning, tax departments in the North of England. Candidates can be based out of either Manchester or Liverpool but will require some flexibility to work across the two offices.

Joanna Longman is a VAT specialist and was previously Regional Head of VAT at one of the Big 4 firms before becoming VAT Director of a large local practice in the North West. She has been an active member of various chapters of the VAT Practitioners Group.
