A top tier Financial Services firm is looking to hire of a Tax Director, assuming responsibility for : Lead planning, transfer pricing, compliance, financial control, and all other aspects of the tax function for the UK.

The Team
This particular team has a very good reputation in the market for their expertise and are the first point of contact for any tax reporting, forecasting and planning issues. The team takes care of all UK tax issues including tax compliance and advisory. You will report into the Head of Tax and also work closely with the other areas of tax.
The Role
*You will play an essential role within the tax team by holding full responsibility for UK tax matters to support minimisation of the group's tax costs and accurate reporting of tax liabilities.
*You will have the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of the group's tax management and reporting and develop relationships with relevant tax authorities.
*The role will require this senior member of the team to also get involved in tax advisory and to oversee UK tax compliance.
The Person
This role will require an individual who has a strong reporting, forecasting and compliance background. You will be ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent, ideally 10 years PQE and have strong US GAAP knowledge and experience.
It is essential for this particular individual to manage a multi-disciplinary team, along with the ability to build and maintain relationships within and outside group tax. You will have excellent knowledge of the technical aspects of reporting, forecasting, planning and compliance as well as eagerness to get involved in tax advisory.
This role would suit someone that has worked in a Big 4 environment and has moved into a Financial Services organisation.
