Looking for a move into Tax Technology. Our client a FTSE 100 Multi-national has a long term interim opportunity within their Tax Systems and Assurance team (Tax Technology) for a direct or indirect tax specialist. S & A experience is not a pre-requisite of this role, however experience in the use of either SAP, Sabrix or Onesource is preferred.
The Role
Assisting with an international project to replace many different legacy Tax systems.
The Tax Systems & Assurance team is accountable for managing tax risks around these significant systems changes and must ensure that data collection and information produced by the new systems deliver the right result for tax reporting and compliance.
The Tax S&A team has a further role to deliver efficiencies for the Tax Function from the use of technology and other areas of potential continuous improvement.
The role will be to support a number of projects and will offer a good degree of training and coaching to the successful candidate.
Working with local tax and finance experts to analyse the current tax processes and define tax data requirements.
Working with project teams to ensure that local tax requirements are accurately reflected in project scoping documents and signed off by local users.
Preparing communications packs and training local tax stakeholders.
Working on SAP tax enhancement
Supporting projects which may involve replacing and updating current bespoke solutions used by the Tax Function for compliance and group tax reporting and provisioning.
About You
Direct Tax or indirect tax specialist with a qualification in tax (ATT, CTA) and/or accounting (ACA, CIMA etc)
Must have a sound background in direct or indirect tax compliance and experience of working with data, together an understanding of the generic structure of accounting systems.
Must have good interpersonal skills, be enthusiastic, confident and a good team player as the role requires working with a diverse number of people from local tax users to systems project teams.
Must be proactive. Whilst the team will offer training and coaching, this role will often involve independent working.
IT skills: Although you do not need to be a tax technology or S&A expert you will have experience in the use of SAP, Sabrix or One source.We request applications to be submitted in a word format only.
