Following a period of sustained growth this market leading engineering company has created a new high profile position with its Group Tax Team. With a rich history, this global organisation currently employs over 4000 people in 50 countries.
Reporting to the Group Head of Tax, you will be part of the Global Head Quarters in the UK. Principally, you will take command of international tax planning and oversee the tax reporting and compliance team.
About the role:
Working in conjunction with the Head of Tax to identify, initiate and ensure timely and successful completion of tax planning projects across the Group
Review of commercial projects to provide timely tax input and to ensure a tax efficient structure
You will deputise for the Head of Tax when necessary
You will manage a small team of Tax Accountants
Management of the tax aspects of the group's quarterly reporting, year end reporting and associated audit
Oversee completion and agreement of the tax returns of UK resident group companies and overseas holding companies
Act as the central tax resource from which regional and operational management can obtain
Provide technical support and assistance on ad hoc queries related to other areas of tax internationally including VAT, employment taxes and capital taxes.
About you:
ACA qualified or equivalent
Extensive experience ok UK tax system
Extensive experience of international tax planning.
