Our client is a leading corporate & asset finance business. They are currently seeking an experienced tax professional to be based in London to manage the day-to-day tax issues associated with European based businesses.
You will work closely with the deal teams across a number of the organisations core businesses and you will be responsible for identifying and solving tax issues relating to various transactions originated by them.
In addition to liaising with external advisers your role will include but will not be limited to
UK Corporate tax, Irish Corporate tax as relating to project, asset, corporate and structured financing;
International tax issues relating to cross border transactions
Indirect taxes, including stamp duty and VAT
Understanding the impact of transactions on issues such as (but not limited to) tax capacity, carried forward losses, transfer pricing, funding sources and consideration of issues that require attention beyond the role, including liaising with Central Tax and Group Finance Management for additional counsel or to identify areas for value add or enhancements.
Additionally, the role will involve an end to end compliance responsibility for the tax issues relating to the legal entity within which the transactions are booked and special projects such as involvement in acquisitions or disposals of business / structures.
A banking and finance background is essential as is a professional qualification (CA or MTAX Law) gained from within a Big 4 tax practice or legal firm.
