Job Description
As Senior Payroll Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for all tax compliance steps including tax balancing and funding of regular and special payroll production runs and all periodic/year-end payroll compliance requirements. Specifically, you will:
*Process regular and special interfaces to ensure department-wide efforts for timely and accurate payments to employees and tax funding of vendor accounts
*Proactively provide special analyses and solutions for individual employee payroll tax issues, overall payroll tax account reconciliations and related compliance
*Backup and support Manager Tax Compliance in periodic/quarterly/annual reconciliations, closing, funding and filing requirements including W2 approvals and amendment process controls
*Support overall tax vendor business partnership; directly responsible for unemployment tax management and SUI rate maintenance with tax vendor
*Contribute and provide input related to the maintenance and enhancement of corporate-wide Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and related requirements
*Assist with user acceptance testing as required on changes to SAP functional area applications
*Interact with HR, IS, General Accounting and Finance business partners; act as liaison for external customers and suppliers; provide customer service support to all employees as required
