This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading international law firm at the heart of the world economy. This role has overall responsibility for the partners' financial involvement in the Group and the tax position of the Group including in Belgium, Spain, France, Germany, Italy and Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the Partner Points Schedule and correct allocation of Group profits to LLP members, employed partners and consultant partners
* Ensuring good communication of profit allocations to relevant parties (members, other partners and finance officers in other locations)
* Providing details of profit allocations to assist in the local tax filings in various jurisdictions, in particular Belgium, France, Germany and Hong Kong. Liaising with local advisors as required.
* Responsible for ensuring all tax liabilities are discharged timeously, including managing funding in locations as necessary. Liaising with Deloitte in regard to the calculation and payment of UK tax liabilities.
* Cultivating a working relationship with HMRC with a view to ensuring that the firm's low risk assessment is maintained.
* Reviewing tax reserve calculations and ensuring these are prepared in accordance with current policy.
* Reviewing tax computations and taxable profit allocations before (final review by Deloitte and?) submission to HMRC.
* VAT: systems and coordination across the group as required.
* EU Savings Directive reporting.
* Overseeing the LLP's and other group entities' Companies House administration - annual returns, accounts filing, notification of changes in LLP members etc. Ensuring that Risk Management team is apprised of partner movements.
