As an Associate / Senior Associate, within our Private Client Services team, you will have the opportunity to develop experience and knowledge in all private client taxes, with a view to progress within the department. Your role is truly diverse, covering a range of tax compliance issues, including income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax. Your clients will range from high net worth individuals, trusts, landed estates and entrepreneurs to directors of multinational companies and high profile professional partnerships. This means you will have the opportunity to enhance your technical skills and knowledge without being restricted to one area.
Our Private Client Services team works with high net worth individuals across a range of industry groups. You will be interacting with all levels across disciplines, allowing you the opportunity to forge close working relationships both internally and externally. The role involves:
*Preparation of tax returns and dealing with associated tax compliance issues, including preparing capital gains computations and business tax computations, for a portfolio of personal, partnership and trust clients
*Reporting to managers and senior managers within the team.
*A willingness to assist with tax advisory projects.
*Helping to maintain client relationships by liaising between clients, third parties and managers.
Depending on the level to be considered you must possess:
*ATT (as a minimum), although you may be CTA qualified.
*Good A levels (as a minimum), and possibly a degree.
*Experience of working within a private client tax/entrepreneurial business department.
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills.
*Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to liaise with third parties, such as banks, investment managers and HM Revenue & Customs.
*Team player, with the ability to multi-task, ensuring deadlines are met.
Good tax skills in relation to the coordination of compliance services on complex private clients with personal tax, business and trust involvements.
